Sinister Cinema announces over 30 new titles
Good news for fans of vintage genre titles: Sinister Cinema has announced over 30 new releases to their mail-order website.
For those of you who have never ordered from Sinister Cinema before, you’re missing out: I’ve been placing orders with them since the late 80s when I was in junior high — and they’ve never failed me yet. It’s a great place to find hundreds of rare horror, sci/fi, mystery, western and exploitation titles (plus many other titles in the “psychotronic” genres).
The official word from this news announcement follows.
I should like to point out to you all that I am not paid to announce this — I do not get any kickback from this whatsoever. I post this strictly out of my adoration for vintage B-Movies and my fondness of a company that has been keeping it real for decades. Read more »

*DVD Review* Donkey Punch (2008)
DVD Review: Donkey Punch (2008)
A film that proves once again that booze, barbiturates, boats and Brits don’t mix. Features a lot of punch but really cheats us when it comes to the donkeys.

DVD Review: Fight Night (2008)
More like Thousand-Dollar Baby. But, since beggars cannot be choosers and since I also rather enjoyed the film, Fight Night gets about a B- in my book.

DVD Review: The Goldwyn Follies
A Hollywood mogul hires a country girl to bring some heart back to the movies. Oh, the humanity! It certainly isn’t the greatest musical to ever emerge from Tinseltown’s School of Song and Dance.

Should do for Van Damme what Free Enterprise did for Shatner. Without a doubt the best film Van Damme has made to date.
